Hey you! Yes, you!

You got here by either exploring the UnVale blog or you got here from one of our neat little pop up banners. Meaning...you must be interested in learning how to start up one of your own events or collab worlds! You've definitely come to the right spot.

With these 5 easy steps you'll be on your way to making something so cool that the community will love and you'll likely get hit with a burst of inspiration and creativity!

If you make it all the way to the end, we'll tell you how you could get featured!

(1) What's it about?

First you'll need to figure out what it is you'd like to do.

So it's time to think of some of the following:

  • Is it a collaborative world or is it a limited time event?
  • What's the theme?
  • If it's a limited time event, how long will it run for?
  • Is there any sort of lore?

There's so much you can do and the skies the limit! Get really creative and maybe even explore some themes/topics that you've never done before.

(2) Creating the rules

Every event or world has its own set of rules. Having a set list of Do's and Don'ts are always really appreciated so everyone understands how exactly they can participate. You'll want to make sure your rules are simple and easy to follow, along with being open for any questions people may have!

There are a few ways you can go about sharing your rules:

  • Creating an OC page that shows visual examples of what can and can't be done
  • Making a written guide
  • Putting it in the comments of your World

Of course there are many other ways to go about this, but these are a few suggestions!

When creating your rules, be sure to also review UnVale's Community and Creation Guidelines to make sure all of your rules align with our own.

(3) Coming up with a name!

Picking names for what you're creating can be fun, yet tricky!

Here's a few tips when thinking of names for an event or collab world:

  • Keep it related to the theme
  • Make it stand out!
  • If possible, keep it short!

The goal of a name is usually to make it memorable and not too similar to other names that are already out there.

Another fun way to go about it is putting a few names up for a vote to get community input!

(4) Making a designated hashtag

You're going to want to find a way to easily see all the people engaging with your event or collaborative World. A good way to do that is by creating a hashtag or two that people can use on their OC pages!

You'll want your hashtag to be related to the name you came up with in some way, it could even be just the name itself!

When creating a hashtag here are something to keep note of:

  • Keep it short
  • Don't use emojis/emoticons
  • Keep it relevant

(5) Making an announcement post!

Finally, you get to announce the event! Let people know what's happening, when it's starting, and how they can participate.

When making your announcement you'll want to include some of these things:

  • What the theme is
  • Sharing any lore, if there's any
  • Explaining the rules
  • What the hashtag is to participate
  • If there's an end date, when it ends

Try to be as detailed as possible so that everything is really easy to understand/follow and leave room for people to ask you questions!

We love seeing community made events/collab worlds and want to do our best supporting and uplifting them.

If you create a collaborative world on UnVale and would like a highlight from the team, use the hashtag #UVFeatureMe* or contact us! We'd love to share it and bring more attention to it!

(*Note: The tag will only work on OC pages at this time! The tag does not apply to individual images, writings, or worlds!)
