It’s not too late to join Artfight!
It’s almost July, which means Artfight season! Maybe you’ve joined before, maybe you’ve heard of it in passing but never joined, or maybe this is the first time you’re hearing of it! If you’re new to Artfight like I am, it’s not too late to join this year.
Artfight is an annual art trading event that anyone over 13 can join (same as Unvale) and draw artwork of other people’s OCs to get points for their team. Usually there are two teams that you can join when participating in Artfight, but this year there are three; the Comedy, Mystery and Tragedy teams. When you draw art for another person you get points for your team, and you get the most points when attacking the other team(s). While Artfight has looser rules about gore and nudity than Unvale, you can easily apply filters to hide anything you’re uncomfortable with. Artfight is also anti-AI like Unvale, so rest assured you’ll be in good hands.

Some things to keep in mind…
- Artfight starts on July 1st at 6pm (18:00), UTC. Make sure to convert this to your local time zone.
- You aren’t allowed to start drawing until the event begins, and you can get banned for starting early.
- Traditional art (paper and pencil art), 3D models, animation, and even crafts like sculpting are allowed and encouraged.
- Unvale’s profile links have a space for your Artfight link, and Artfight has a space for Unvale links! Make sure to add your links. Check the profiles of your favourite Unvale artists and follow them on artfight!
- You can join regardless of your skill level, and it’s okay to join and only do one attack during the event period. The main point is to have fun!
